Information on Dan'el

Dan'el: In the Hebrew Bible, Daniel's story is told in the Book of Daniel. Daniel was descended from one of the noble families of Judah (Daniel 1:3), and was probably born in Jerusalem about B.C. 620, during the reign of Josiah. Christians regard Daniel as a prophet, and Jesus is quoted as referring to him as Daniel the prophet in Matthew 24:15 and Mark 13:14. However, Judaism does not count Daniel among the prophets. Whereas the Christian Old Testament includes Daniel in the Prophets section, the Jewish Tanach does not, placing him among the Writings instead. Daniel is a city in Utah and Wyoming. Daniel is a famous song sung by Elton John. It was written by John and his lyricist Bernie Taupin. In the United States the song reached #2 on the pop charts and #1 on the adult contemporary charts for two weeks in the spring of 1973. In the UK it made the top 5.

Alternatives for Dan'el include Dani'el, Daniel, Daniyel, Dannie, Danny, and Dániel.

Dan'el is associated with these categories: Place, Biblical, Popular, and Old Fashioned.
